Philadelphia yoga on the banks returns for socially-distanced outdoor yoga
March 23rd, 2021
Philadelphia, PA – Yoga on the Banks returns to the Schuylkill Banks in April 2021. Classes take place on the banks of the Schuylkill River at 25th and Locust Streets and are open to all levels of participants. Yoga on the Banks is a community-supported program, and donation-based. Classes last for one hour, and students are encouraged to bring their own mat, sunglasses, and water. In order to meet Philadelphia guidance for outdoor events during COVID-19, all Yoga on the Banks classes now require advanced registration, which can be completed through Facebook or Eventbrite. Masks are required.
Yoga on the Banks will continue multiple class offerings in 2021 with weekly Saturday 10:00am classes, an 10:00am Sunday class and a 6:30pm Thursday class. All classes will take place on the banks of Schuylkill River at 25th and Locust Streets.
“Our goal is to provide a fun, healthy outdoor activity for Philadelphians, and to make yoga accessible for everyone,” said Erin Gautsche, Director of Yoga on the Banks. “Classes are dontation-based, and all donations go directly to support our certified teachers, assistants, and organization.” Philadelphia Yoga on the Banks’ schedule, and additional information, is available at www.yogaonthebanks.com. Weather considerations and immediate updates are announced on Instagram @yogaonthebanksphilly and the Facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/YogaOnTheBanks/.
